Assistant Management Accountant

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and focused candidate to join a successful and expanding business based in Luton. The successful candidate will work as an Assistant Management Accountant undertaking the below responsibilities:

• Processing of staff credit card and cash expenses from start to finish
• Processing of purchase invoices and support supplier payment runs
• Preparing the month end payroll journal and reconciliation
• Assisting the Finance Manager in preparation of management accounts
• Assisting the Finance Manager with monthly analysis and month end reporting
• Assisting the Finance Manager with quarterly VAT computation
• Providing support during year-end audits
• An ad hoc task as required

Required Skills, Abilities and Certifications

• Be actively studying ACCA/CIMA or AAT (part qualified)* Have excellent excel skills* Detailed orientated and analytical* Be a good team player, but also able to work well individually* Effective communication skills* Be able to work to strict deadlines* Stong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple priorities* Have a positive 'can-do' attitude* Experience working in a fast-paced SME environment* Familiarity with the payroll processes and payroll month end responsibilities is an advantage* SAP Business One or similar ERP experience essential
