About the Company:

The company are a leading and highly respected Mechanical and Electrical Building Services contractor based in Central London.

Specialising in commercial and office fit-out projects, the company delivers comprehensive M&E solutions. Project values typically range from £50,000 to £5 million, and due to consistent growth and a strong order book, they are now looking to expand their estimating team with the addition of a skilled Mechanical Estimator.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to take ownership of mechanical tenders and contribute to high-value, fast-paced projects. Working alongside a knowledgeable team, you will play a crucial role in delivering competitive, accurate, and timely bids.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare detailed and accurate tenders for mechanical projects ranging from £50k to £5m

* Analyse mechanical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to determine scope

* Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives

* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and the pre-construction team to gather necessary inputs

* Assess and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value

* Maintain and develop a robust cost database and track historical tender data

* Support the production of compelling bid proposals and client presentations

Mechanical Estimator - Desirable experience and skills:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E or Building Services sector

* Solid understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, public health, etc.)

* Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and technical specifications

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimation software

* Strong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail

* Effective communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
