Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist high school in Poulton-Le-Fylde for young people with SEMH needs.
Only qualified candidates will be considered for the position, and you must have experience with SEMH/SEN.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons to small groups or whole classes under the guidance of the class teacher.
Support children in achieving their academic and personal development goals.
Work collaboratively with teachers to implement tailored learning strategies.
Lead intervention groups and provide additional support for pupils with specific learning needs.
Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment for all pupils.
Assist with classroom management, ensuring lessons run smoothly and effectively.
Requirements:

HLTA qualification or extensive experience working as a teaching assistant at the primary level.
Experience supporting children aged 10 - 18 in a school setting.
A strong understanding of the UK secondary curriculum.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A genuine passion for helping children thrive in their education.
An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two recent professional references
