JOB - Logistics Manager

LOCATION - West Byfleet, Surrey

TERM- Permanent

SALARY - £40,000 - £47,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a Logistics Manager on a permanent basis in the West Byfleet, Surrey area with experience in the Manufacturing, Engineering or warehousing industry. Your main duties will include implementing a new logistics system including liaising with 3rd party suppliers and managing the inhouse logistics processes across the business.

The Logistics Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

Qualified in a relevant Logistics / Manufacturing Degree or qualified by experience.
Proven experience within a logistics position for a similar industry.
Good knowledge of various logistics planning and management responsibilities / tools.
Capable of improving the efficiency of warehousing and logistics operation.
Have the ability to communicate with other members of staff and management.
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Ability to work independently as well as team
Exposure to electronics production - very advantageous.The Logistics Manager role will involve:

Take ownership of the Logistics metrics and data.
Plan the weekly operation of the logistics side of the business.
