Robertson Bell is delighted to be working with a well-respected charity based in Northampton as they recruit an interim Finance Projects Consultant for a pivotal assignment.

This organisation is embarking on a period of financial transformation, and they need an experienced professional to revamp their financial processes. With outdated, paper-based processes in place, this role will be key in modernising finance operations, driving process improvement, and ensuring the finance function is fit for the future.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and recommending improvements to current financial processes and systems
  • Leading a review of the existing finance system (Sage) and supporting a potential upgrade or transition
  • Reducing and streamlining the number of active bank accounts
  • Freeing up capacity within the finance team through efficiency improvements
  • Ensuring the accuracy of restricted fund reporting and compliance
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team during this period of change

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
  • Bring significant experience from within the charity sector
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of improving finance processes and systems
  • Have previous experience using Sage accounting software
  • Possess excellent accounting and analytical skills, with a hands-on approach
