Security Engineer - Up To £59,000 - Hybrid (Cardiff Site)

The Opportunity

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a critical not-for-profit organisation to recruit a permanent Security Engineer.

The Security Engineer role is perfect for anyone who has experience as a security Engineer working in Azure, Sentinel and Defender.

What the Security Engineer will be doing

You will be maintaining the security tooling, performing maintenance checks and looking how to analyse the security platforms to get the most value out of them.

Maintain the existing security tooling and perform regular maintenance checks
Actively determining how to develop the security platforms to ensure they are being utilised effectively
Provide the governance team with support for security roles
Documentation and design

What you will bring to the team

You will have knowledge of the Microsoft Security suites including Azure, Defender and Sentinel. You will also have broad knowledge of additional security toolings such as Palo Alto.

Knowledge of Microsoft Security Suite, and a wider knowledge of other security technologies
Experience as security engineer working in a cloud forward environment
Good documentation skill
Good communication skills
