The role:

As the NPD Manager, this position will be responsible for identifying and successfully developing new products while enhancing existing ones. It will ensure that process development and improvements align with business objectives, cost considerations, and operational efficiencies. Reporting to the Site Manager, the key responsibilities of this role will include;

* The creation of new and innovative products from concept to launch, ensuring that the business not only meets but exceeds customer expectations.

* Plan and execute projects aimed at successfully transitioning new products into production, enhancing line and workforce efficiency, minimising variances and costs, and streamlining or improving existing production processes.

* Ensure that all ingredient sourcing, process development, and improvement activities are executed within budget and according to plan.

* Responsible for developing and defining processes related to NPD, including establishing and agreeing on equipment settings, ultimately resulting in a set of standardised settings.

* Produce all internal data requirements, including visual and textual documentation.

* Cultivate and support an environment within your team and function that facilitates development and training.

Candidate experience:

* At least 5 years working in an NPD Management role or as a Senior NPD Technologist within food manufacturing

* A food or science-based degree or equivalent experience

* Have worked with and have a great understanding of UK retailers

* A passionate foodie who likes to be hands on in their role

* Can work confidently in a fast paced food manufacturing environment
