This new role of Deputy Diocesan Secretary has been created to support and enable the mission of the church in the Diocese of York, by bringing together oversight and strategic leadership for a number of services provided to the parishes and the wider organisation to support the delivery of our diocesan vision and strategy.Reporting to the Diocesan Secretary (CEO), the postholder will be a member of the Diocesan Leadership team, supporting experienced domain experts as they provide specialist services to parishes and the wider diocesan organisation, and leading projects.The postholder will be expected to deputise for the Diocesan Secretary and, as a representative role, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 it is an occupational requirement that the postholder is a practicing Christian.The postholder will bring their previous work or voluntary experience, to this portfolio role.
