Our client, a prominent player in the HTP sector, is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is crucial in managing and controlling costs, maximising value, minimising liabilities, and maintaining quality and safety standards across various highway contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide commercial expertise to contracts, including the production and submission of valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and performance data
Support the authorisation and submission of project variations
Authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, and orders for materials and plant
Negotiate with subcontractor supply chains to achieve the best value
Implement company policies related to SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) and risk management

Job Requirements:

Relevant degree or HNC qualifications
Experience in a similar role within the Construction/Highways Industry
Experience working on major projects
Experience with tier 1 contractors
NEC experience
