Position: Therapeutic Residential Children's Workers
Location: Purley
Salary: Permanent - up to £28,000 per annum
Hours: 4 days per week

Our client, an 'Outstanding' Ofsted-rated Therapeutic Children's Home, is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join their team. Role Description:

As a Therapeutic Residential Children's Worker, you will:

* Champion Mental Health: Support and develop the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in our care.

* Consistent Care: Ensure all aspects of care are applied consistently in line with our policies, Children's Home Regulations, Quality Standards, and SCCIF.

* Collaborate: Participate in Child Looked After meetings and complete necessary paperwork to support these.

* Proactive Wellbeing: Use effective methods to ensure the wellbeing of our children and young people, including risk assessments, care plans, and understanding individual needs.

* Therapeutic Support: Address mental wellbeing through effective stimulation, support, comfort, therapy (sensory), and consistency.

* Behavioral Management: Continuously review and understand behavioral management plans.

* Set Boundaries: Adhere to set boundaries for each child and young person to ensure a consistent team approach.

* Aspire and Achieve: Assist children and young people in setting and achieving personal goals through their support plans.

* Life Skills Development: Support children and young people in developing key life skills, from personal care to financial management.

* Mentorship: Encourage, support, and mentor children and young people to make informed decisions and understand the consequences.

* Promote Equality: Foster an appreciation of equality and diversity, showing respect for all and understanding cultural differences.

* Community Engagement: Enable children and young people to access community services positively and responsibly.

We are looking for individuals who are:

* Experienced: Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

* Passionate: A genuine passion for working with children and young people.

* Empathetic: Strong empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
