National Highways have an excellent opportunity for a Service Introduction Manager to join our team in Digital Services. The Service Introduction Manager role is responsible for the delivery, operation, and continuous improvement for Service Introduction Capabilities and manages the effective and efficient operation of the Practice.

Please note this role can be based from any of our UK offices however travel to Birmingham, Bedford or Leeds to attend team meetings may be required.

  • Service Introduction - Define, Design and Transition new or updated services in BAU Operations, using the agreed processes and methodologies.
  • Capability Management - Work with process and technical subject matter experts and practitioners across all functional areas and suppliers to drive adherence to the process strategy, design, and operation.
  • Identify, propose, and drive design through securing mandate & sponsorship from Capability Manager/Owner. Ensure that the process is embedded throughout the integrated ecosystem, including creating and managing communications to the business and stakeholders.
  • Manage the process to obtain formal confirmation that service acceptance criteria have been met providing suitable evidence of completion
  • People Management - Improve organisational performance by developing the performance of individuals and workgroups to meet agreed objectives with measurable results.
  • Availability Management - Ensure that services deliver agreed levels of availability to meet the current and future needs of the business and the service being introduced meets the needs of both business and support stakeholders.

About you.

  • Experience of ITIL Service Design, Service Transition and/or Service Management/Service Delivery.
  • Experience identifying and responding to complex issues and assignments as they relate to the deliverable/scope of work.
  • Experience planning, scheduling and monitoring work to meet given objectives and processes to time and quality targets.
  • Strong influencing skills with customers, suppliers and partners at account level. Make decisions which influence the success of projects and team objectives.
  • Communicates fluently, orally and in writing, and can present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences when engaging with colleagues, users/customers, suppliers and partners.
  • Desired accreditation in the following: ITIL 3 Foundation and above, ITIL 4 Specialist: Create, Deliver and Support (CDS) or Experience of Designing and Transitioning services in an ITIL aligned organisation
