Generator Service Engineer

The Generator Service Engineer Role
* Performing both planned and reactive service and maintenance of generators.
* Conducting fault diagnosis and carrying out breakdown repairs.
* Collaborating with Service Coordinators at our head office for efficient planning.
* Troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
* Participating in the regional on-call rotation (approximately 1 in 6 on average).
* Adhering to the company's H&S, environmental, and quality management systems.
* Accurate recording keeping using the company's bespoke management system.
* Working closely internally, to ensure jobs are within budget and on time.
The right Generator Service Engineer
* Experience in servicing generators is highly advantageous but not essential.
* Time served as Mechanical/Electrical engineer or qualified to NVQ level 3.
* Familiar with electronics & mechanical components (including engines and Alternators).
* Be able to understand and complete risk assessments.
* Any experience in a mobile engineering position is attractive.
* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Comfortable with communicating via telephone and face-to-face.
* The capability to deal with a variety of customers from different industries.
