Calling all Sports Graduates and Sports lovers!

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a school in Cwmbran, to support a year 4 pupil on a 1:1 basis. The pupil has high energy and needs a reliable, consistent and sporty Teaching Assistant, to help the pupil with all aspects of the school day which would include sports to be integrated into their timetable.

A Successful Teaching Assistant will require:

To be registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council)
Hold a Child only DBS certificate that is registered on the Update System.
Provide 2 professional references covering 24 months.
To be strong and resilient when facing challenging behaviour.
Whilst having experience working with children who have SEN in a professional setting is desirable, we welcome applications from people who have personal experience or someone who is willing to fully engage and develop skills in the area.

Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

Working 1:1 basis with a pupil in year 4.
Being a positive and encouraging staff member, supporting your pupil to grow and develop.
Build trusting relationships with pupils, staff and parents and provide social and emotional support.
Create a positive and caring, safe environment for the pupil to thrive.
Adhere to school's safeguarding and protection policies.
Strong teamwork with fellow Teachers and Teaching Assistants
Adapting to situations as they arise.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 - 15:30

Pay: Minimum £83 per day

This school is based in Newport and is easily accessible via public transport. They have around 600 pupils. They have two dedicated class bases to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
