Senior Structural Engineer

We are recruiting for a Senior Engineer for one of our esteemed clients a civil structural consultancy in the Stockport area to be involved in all areas of structural engineering on a wide variety of projects, from commercial and domestic extensions and alterations, inspections and reporting, through to new build commercial, residential, and industrial designs, research projects on innovative new construction products and systems.

About you and the role

* You will be responsible for the management of projects from inception to completion, preparing fee quotes, supervision of junior team members, attending client meetings, as well as undertaking your own designs, inspections and reports

* A proven track record in structural design and analysis in a wide range of materials on a variety of projects, from feasibility to construction

* Proficient in the use of software such as Masterseries, TSD, Tedds etc

* Experience in checking and approval of work of junior engineers, providing support to junior team members desirable

* Experienced in liaising directly with clients, contractors and other design team members

* Ideally chartered or near chartered (extensive support given)
