Are you an experienced Science Teacher looking for work in Birmingham?

Winner Education are seeking a Science Teacher for a secondary school in Erdington, Birmingham. This role is due to start in January, will be full time and will be on a long term basis. You must have previous experience in both Biology and Chemistry, in particular up to A-Level.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Work alongside the Curriculum Lead to ensure the curriculum is up to date and meets the needs of the students
Adapt lessons to suit the needs of children
Create a stimulating learning environment
Support KS3,4 and KS5 pupils
Conduct assessments and progress reports for individual pupils
Ensure pupils are meeting set targets
Produce interactive and engaging lesson plans to deliver to the leaners
Support pupils with additional GCSE and A-Level support
Attend parents evenings when required

The successful Science Teacher must:

Support students with the transition of the next stage of their education or training
Have previous experience working in a secondary school
Hold a QTS or degree within science
Have previous experience of teaching Chemistry and Biology
Be comfortable in teaching up to Triple Science GCSE
Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum
Have strong resilience and patience
Be a great team-player and form good relationships within the school environment
Good classroom and behaviour management
