The Role - Automotive Heavy Vehicle Technical Trainer:
As a Heavy Vehicle Technical Trainer, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding training and support to apprentices and commercial delegates. You will:

Deliver engaging, hands-on technical training focused on heavy vehicle maintenance and diagnostics

*

Prepare and use a range of training aids and resources

*

Support apprentices' progress through regular assessments and feedback

*

Complete awarding body documentation and maintain learner records

*

Stay up to date with industry technologies and vocational CPD

*

Contribute to training process improvements alongside team leaders

*

Provide welfare guidance to learners and collaborate with employers

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with occasional overtime.

The Ideal Candidate:
You're a qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician with a passion for sharing your knowledge and raising industry standards. You'll bring:

*

A recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)

*

Experience with modern automotive technologies, particularly electrical diagnostics

*

Strong communication skills and a supportive, professional approach

*

A full UK driving licence

*

Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)

*

Teaching or assessing qualifications (e.g. PTTLS, TAQA) - desirable but not essential

*

A willingness to learn and develop in a training and education role
