Thrive Group are seeking a dedicated Estates Team Member to join our client's team in Bruton on a ongoing position.
This role is essential in carrying out maintenance work instructed by the Supervisor to ensure the School's Heath and Safety.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various trades , including plumbing , carpentry , and general repairs , and be committed to upholding high standards of health and safety.

Salary
Depending on experience, bonus of £375 is provided for the on call.
Key Responsibilities
- To carry out maintenance work as instructed by the Estates Supervisor and Estates Manager.
- Adhere to employee responsibilities relating to health and safety, as detailed in the School's Health & Safety Policy.
- Collaborate with other team members to prioritise and complete maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Knowledge and Skills:
Trades Expertise : Knowledge of various trades and experience in general repairs , plumbing , carpentry , and painting.
Health and Safety : Understanding of safety protocols , including Working from Heights , Manual Handling , and Asbestos Awareness.
Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills with good IT and organisational abilities.
Flexibility and Adaptability : Ability to manage workloads , re prioritise tasks as needed , and work under pressure.
Previous experience in a school environment would be preferred although not essential.
Essential Requirements
Education: GCSE'S in English and Mathematics ( or equivalent ).
Experience : Prior experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
Physical Ability : Able to work at heights , lift up to 50 pounds , and perform other physical tasks related to the job.
Driving Licence : Valid driving licence required.
