About the TIG Welder Role
We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team.
In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for fabricating and welding ultra-high vacuum chambers and components that push the boundaries of precision engineering. Working closely with our Lead Technician, you'll ensure projects meet exacting standards and are completed within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities of the TIG Welder:
* Fabrication and TIG welding of vacuum chambers, components, and sub-assemblies.
* Collaborate with the Lead Technician to align work schedules and project timelines.
* Conduct quality control evaluations to ensure all products meet our high standards.
* Set up and perform leak testing using helium mass spectrometers to verify the integrity of chamber vessels.
What We're Looking For
* At least 3 years of TIG welding and fabrication experience.
* Proven skills in metal fabrication, including the use of precision measuring tools.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Confidence in meeting deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic knowledge of turning (advantageous).
* Strong commitment to maintaining and enhancing health and safety standards.
