Salary: £450 - £500/day

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team working on major infrastructure projects in earthworks and roads across Buckinghamshire. This hybrid role offers a mix of office and remote working, giving you the flexibility to manage your workload effectively. As part of a large, high-value infrastructure development, you will be responsible for managing costs, ensuring value for money, and overseeing the commercial aspects of the project from inception to completion.

Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Manage all commercial aspects of the project, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
* Prepare and submit accurate financial reports and valuations, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
* Lead the procurement process, managing subcontractor relationships, contracts, and negotiations.
* Oversee project payments, claims, variations, and final account settlements.
* Provide support in risk management, ensuring the project remains within financial targets.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver commercial advice and strategy.
* Ensure compliance with contractual terms, industry regulations, and best practices.

Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Extensive experience in quantity surveying within infrastructure projects, particularly in earthworks and road construction.
* Strong understanding of NEC contracts and proven ability to manage contractual and commercial risks.
* Proficiency in cost management software and financial reporting tools.
* Excellent negotiation skills and experience working with subcontractors and suppliers.
* Relevant degree in quantity surveying, commercial management, or a related field.
* Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) is preferred, but not essential.
* A proactive and methodical approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
