  • SEND Experience: Previous experience working with students with SEND is highly desirable. This could include experience with students who have autism, learning difficulties, or other special educational needs.
  • Behaviour Management: Proven skills and experience in managing challenging behaviour, with an understanding of effective behaviour management strategies such as de-escalation and positive reinforcement.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team, supporting teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure that SEND students achieve their full potential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with students, staff, and parents.
  • Empathy and Patience: A compassionate approach to supporting students with additional needs, demonstrating patience and understanding.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing needs in the classroom and support students in a variety of settings, including one-to-one and group interventions.
