An exciting opportunity has arisen for a diligent and organised Account Assistant to join a leading business in Liverpool. This role offers the chance to work within a dynamic team, assisting in preparing monthly management accounts.
What you'll do:
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts
- Support transactional processing
- Process purchase invoices, including capture and coding
- Reconcile revenue against activity and prepare accrued/deferred income journals
- Maintain Fixed Asset Register and process depreciation
- Prepare accruals or prepayment journals for review by Management Accountants
- Assist in compiling supplier payment runs for processing
- Review staff expenses for accuracy of coding and VAT recovery
What you bring:
- 2-3 years experience working in a finance team, including transactional processing
- High degree of attention to detail with the ability to self-review and error-check own work
- Organised and adaptable with a strong work ethic
- Proficient in working to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels
- Functional working knowledge of MS office packages, including Outlook, Excel and Word
