We need an HGV Workshop Technician (s) for a leading truck rental company, a new facility with seven HGV bays located Taunton, Somerset

The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. However, we can offer flexibility with an alternative schedule of 7:00 am to 4:30 pm if preferred. There is no weekend work required.

Hgv Technician hourly pay ranges from £17.50 to £19.00, which equals an approximate basic annual salary of £40,950 to £44,460. Experience-related, the expected working hours are 45 per week, with overtime available at 1.5 times the hourly rate.

Hgv Technician to Maintain & repair 4x4's welfare vans including tippers, tipper grabs, and hot boxes ranging from 3.5 to 32-tonne.
To repair and service commercial vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidance and current industry standards, ensuring that you utilise the most time-efficient, cost-effective, and safe method of working.
To prepare vehicles for MOT testing, focussing on attention to detail and targeting a first-time pass.
To analyse work orders to first establish the work agreed, if this is not clear, to communicate with the service team to ensure accuracy.
Detection and diagnosis of any additional faults requiring further repair, communicating these immediately with your line manager, recording accurately on job cards and following all necessary processes.
To always maintain up-to-date technical knowledge. Working with other departments to ensure the most time-efficient method for repairs and maintenance and interacting directly with clients when requested.
Timely completion of inspection & repair paperwork, using compliance software on an electronic tablet.

Monthly pay 27th of every month. 20 annual holiday allowance + bank holidays. Onsite parking
