White Label are excited to be representing a growing manufacturing business based in Rochdale who are seeking a Lead Design Engineer to join and grow their engineering team.

The company specialise in pressure/ process equipment and are in need of an experienced Design Engineer who is confident at leading projects from concept through to manufacture.

The company seeks a Lead Design Engineer with the following profile:

* 7 - 10 years design engineering experience

* 2D & 3D CAD

* Ability to carry out hand calculations (force, torque, bending moments, hoop stress, shear stress, weld strength etc.)

* Experienced in designing complex components and assemblies

* Risk Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) & Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)

* Administration & usage of Document Management Systems (EPDM)

* Experience of mentoring more junior team members

* Project Management skills

* Strong IT skills

Experience & Qualifications:

* BEng or BSc (Hons) in mechanical engineering or equivalent (2.1 minimum) or equivalent experience and apprentice trained

* Industry experience; preferred experience in high pressure systems, hydraulics, pressure vessels or associated supply, however will consider other areas

The company are offering a 4.5 day working week, a salary of £45-50k with an increase to £45/55k depending on your experience after 6 months, 25 days holidays, pension scheme.
