We are currently recruiting on behalf of social housing providers based in Surrey, Hertfordshire & Norfolk for 3 x Compliance Managers - on a permanent basis paying between £53,000-£56,000.

Location: Based either in Hertfordshire, Surrey or Norfolk, these roles are in office/on-site and come with some home working options available. These are full time typically within office hours, Monday to Friday.

Looking for someone with experience of the “big 6”. This role is managing a small team and would suit someone who is looking to progress their career with the next step. Contract and leadership skills are highly desirable.

Please find below a summary of the role:

* Leading the operational delivery of mechanical & electrical works to housing and communal assets

* Manage a team of specialist staff in the delivery of mechanical works, electrical works, and compliance activities (for example and not restricted to; heating, electrical, asbestos, lifts, CDM, water hygiene, damp & mould and disrepair)

* Act as an expert in the field of compliance

* Put in place, agree, implement, review and manage relevant programmes around servicing, maintenance, inspections, surveys, checks and maintenance regimes across the stock portfolio

* Work with the Asset Management Team on any issues associated with property maintenance to include reactive repairs, voids, planned and cyclical maintenance to improve service delivery and value for money

* Act as an expert in the field of mechanical and electrical engineering

* Contribute to the formulation and delivery of the corporate and assets strategies to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations and strategic direction / objective targets are met

* Ensuring contracts are procured in-accordance with procurement / standing order requirements and delivered in-accordance with contractual requirements

Role Requirements

* Knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and best practice requirements in relation to asset compliance, health & safety and mechanical and electrical works

* Significant experience of working in a risk-based service area within social housing or a related sector

* Experience of managing multiple contracts within a contract management framework
