Accounts and Audit Senior Manager Halifax £55,000 - £62,000

Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a leading independent firm of accountants in Halifax who are looking for a strong Accounts and Audit Manager or Senior Manager to join their growing team.

This represents a key hire for the firm and is an excellent opportunity to join one of West Yorkshire's fastest growing independent practices in an all encompassing account and audit general practice role.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop the audit department, ensuring compliance with professional standards and maintaining audit programs and procedures.Conduct prospective client interviews and represent the firm effectively to secure new appointments.Manage the completion of audits, fee negotiations, billing, accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT, corporation tax, and related matters.Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure accurate and timely information gathering.Supervise, train, and develop audit staff.Accurately track time using the firm’s time recording system.Assist with administrative tasks, including debt collection in coordination with the accounts supervisor.Contribute to the firm’s decision-making and management meetings.Annually confirm professional integrity, review compliance manuals, and adhere to firm procedures.
