About the Role:

The Supply Register is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an opportunity to join an exclusive talent pool for SEN Teaching Assistant roles, with flexible day-to-day, short-term, and long-term assignments to suit your availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Support SEN Students: Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN), including one-to-one and small group work.
Classroom Support: Assist in adapting lessons and resources to meet the needs of SEN students.
Behavior and Emotional Support: Help manage behavior and provide emotional support to students with SEN.
Personal Care: Provide personal or physical care to students as needed.
Collaborate with Staff: Work alongside teachers and SENCOs to create an inclusive learning environment.
Feedback and Reporting: Report on student progress and share relevant feedback with teachers and parents.

Requirements:

Experience: Prior experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting SEN students.
SEN Knowledge: Understanding of various SEN needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia).
DBS Check: Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
Passion for SEN Education: A genuine desire to support students with SEN.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate with students, staff, and parents.
Patience and Empathy: A caring, patient approach to working with SEN students.
