Group VAT Accountant - Retford - Competitive Salary + Benefits

We are looking for a Group VAT Accountant to join one of our most prestigious clients on a permanent basis.  Group VAT Accountant key responsibilities:

Preparation of the UK quarterly VAT returns for the UK VAT groups
Extracting and verifying data from various systems and analysing transactions by applying the UK VAT rules
Performing transactional reviews following internal SOPs and HMRC VAT compliance guidance
Supporting the UK Tax team with international VAT compliance preparation and review
Contribution to the ongoing process improvement and systems refinement 
Required Skills & Experience:

Qualified or latter stages Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CTA)
Strong knowledge and understanding of UK VAT legislation
Experience of working within a group setting
Be a strong user of MS Excel - Alpha VAT is desirable but not essential
Experience of dealing with and understanding international VAT is beneficial
