About The Role
Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Data and Process Manager to work on our UKPN & SSEN contracts in Stevenage.
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Data and Process Manager to oversee the management of our data systems and drive the optimisation of business processes across the organisation. In this role, you will standardise processes and enable data-driven decision-making across teams. You will be responsible for enhancing operational efficiency, improving workflows, and supporting the successful implementation of process improvements.
MES is proud to be a key partner on the UKPN ED1SON Alliance & SSEN Framework Contract, delivering substation build and refurbishment works across the East of England including design, project management, on site cable installation, building construction, jointing, switchgear installation, bunding, commissioning, decommissioning and demolition.
 
As the Data and Process Manager your key responsibilities will include:

Lead and manage a team, providing operational support across the contract. Ensuring that data systems and processes are well-supported and efficiently executed
Manage the collection, storage, and analysis of company data, ensuring its accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for all stakeholders
Collate data and generate insightful reports to identify trends, key metrics, and opportunities for improvement.
Analyse existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend process changes to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity
Work closely with all contract teams to design, document, site teams and implement standardised processes.
Continuously monitor the effectiveness of implemented process changes, gathering feedback and making necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
Coordinate with IT, operations, and other departments to ensure the successful Implementation of new tools or processes.
Partner with department leads to understand data and process needs, providing tailored solutions that meet specific business requirements and drive operational success.
Provide training and ongoing support to staff on best practices for using data tools, systems, and process improvements to enhance their performance
Foster a culture of continuous learning, ensuring that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles
Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving data handling, integration, and workflow automationThis is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities and may be subject to change as the role develops in line with the needs of the Company.
 Skills & Knowledge Requirements

Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to identify trends, interpret complex data, and recommend actionable insights.
Proficiency in managing large datasets, using data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI & Excel).
Ability to work effectively across departments and with multiple teams.
Experience managing or contributing to process improvement or IT projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data or technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering both individual development and driving continuous business improvements.
