Temporary Accounts Payable Assistant (Potential for Permanent)

A fast-paced and dynamic business undergoing significant change is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills and experience working with large ERP systems (SAP, Netsuite, or Dynamics 365) to step into a pivotal role. The position has the potential to become permanent for the ideal candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes.
• Utilise Excel for detailed reporting, including Pivots, VLookups, and data analysis.
• Work with a large ERP system (such as SAP, Netsuite, or Dynamics 365) to enter, track, and manage payments.
• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve payment queries.
• Support with ad-hoc accounts payable tasks as required.

Essential Requirements:

• Strong Excel skills, including experience with Pivots and VLookups.
• Prior experience using a large ERP system (SAP, Netsuite, Dynamics 365).
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Desirable Attributes:

• Accounts payable experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in a business undergoing change or transformation is an advantage.
• A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to learn quickly.
