The Role

As the Workshop Manager/Supervisor, you will:

* Oversee the daily operations of a busy workshop, ensuring optimal workflow and efficiency.

* Manage a team of skilled technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management.

* Ensure all maintenance and repair work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.

* Coordinate scheduling, resources, and parts to meet deadlines and minimise downtime.

* Monitor and improve workshop performance metrics, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

* Communicate effectively with other departments, suppliers, and customers to ensure excellent service delivery.

The Candidate

We are looking for someone with:

* Proven experience in a workshop management or supervisory role, ideally within the material handling, automotive, or similar industries.

* Strong technical knowledge of material handling equipment or mechanical systems.

* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a focus on motivating and developing staff.

* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

* A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance.

* A customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills.
