Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a large secondary school in the centre of Ellesmere Port as they are looking to recruit a motivated and reliable teaching assistant to support in the English and Maths classes across Years 7 and 8. This is a long-term contract starting from September 2024.Your new roleIn your new role as a teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting the year 7 and 8 classes in English and Maths. You will support your new pupils on a 1:1 and group basis, offering additional support as required and holding intervention and booster sessions to ensure all pupils reach their full academic potential. You will support the class teachers with general classroom and behaviour management which will intern promote an engaging and stimulating learning environment. Towards the latter end of the academic year you will assist with transitions from KS3 to lower KS4.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your new role, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as recent referenceable experience supporting children between the ages of 11 - 16, as well as:

• Extensive experience delivering interventions and boosters in Maths and English
• The ability to work with mixed ability pupils
• Be able to commit to full-time hours
