About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join a small, vibrant community school in the heart of Islington. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher who has successfully completed their ECT induction and has a proven record of working with Early Years children. You will be working within a small class of 16 enthusiastic learners alongside a supportive Early Years Practitioner (EYP).

The classroom merges with Reception on occasion, creating a collaborative and dynamic EYFS environment. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons, with a focus on Read Write Inc. phonics to ensure strong literacy foundations for all pupils.

Application Requirements:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have completed your ECT induction with confidence and success.
• Possess experience teaching within EYFS.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Read Write Inc. phonics and its implementation.
• Show excellent classroom management and creative lesson planning skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver stimulating lessons aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
• Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for all children.
• Use Read Write Inc. phonics to build foundational literacy skills.
• Collaborate effectively with the Early Years Practitioner (EYP) and Reception class staff.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining records and identifying next steps.
