Brownlee Cale are working with a Civil Engineering firm on a permanent Assistant Quantity Surveyor role with a March 2025 start. As an Assistant QS, you will assist and support the Commercial Manager.

Responsibilities:

* Assisting the senior project quantity surveyor with project administration (Commercial and project spreadsheets)

* Process Invoices and Purchase Orders

* External valuations, re-measures and pricing variations

* Assist with project cost analysis

* Form effective relationships with the site team

* Prioritise and manage time whilst working to deadlines

* Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders

* Assist with cost reports, forecasts and financial documentation to support project and provide updates to senior management.

Desired Experience:

* BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent

* A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, preferably in civil engineering or construction

* Good understanding of IT and relevant softwares

* Negotiating and networking skills

* Ability to work both independently and within a team
