Reporting to: Management Accountant

As Assistant Management Accountant, you will be working in a team of 6 to support with the timely production of Monthly Management Accounts. The role is critical for providing insightful financial analysis to support with business decision-making and it will also entail aspects of Business Partnering, giving great exposure.

Key Duties:

• Assist with the preparation of month-end management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Support with year end duties.
• Variance analysis against budgets & forecasts.
• Analyse operational/project costs and liaise with Project Managers re spending against budgets.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest process improvements to optimise business efficency
• KPI tracking

Skills Required:

• Part-qualified accountant ACCA / CIMA - actively working towards (not only exemptions)
• Good Excel skills
• Analytical with strong communication skills
• Ambitious to progress in the supportive environment offered
• Inquisitive with good business acumen
• Experience in month end duties (essential)
