Are you a leader with a proven track record of transforming business development strategies into tangible results?

We are seeking a strategic General Manager of Business Development to spearhead growth initiatives and elevate the market presence of a global automotive component manufacturers.

Based from their state-of-the-art facilities in Co Durham, this is a pivotal role reporting directly to the Managing Director, where you'll drive revenue, cultivate key customer relationships, and lead a small but high-performing team.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

* Proven track record of success in a senior business development role, ideally within the automotive manufacturing industry

* A degree (or equivalent) in business or finance.

* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that deliver exceptional results.

* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

* A results-oriented mindset.

What You'll Be Doing

* Developing robust short and long-term sales forecasts, aligning with the company's strategic vision

* Supporting European-wide sales development activities, contributing to the global growth strategy.

* Unlocking new business opportunities in new & existing markets

* Nurturing strong relationships with key customers, acting as their primary interface and ensuring a deep understanding of their business needs.

* Mentoring a high-performing sales team

* Presenting performance insights, identify opportunities, and proactively address challenges to directly influence strategic direction.
