Science Teacher/Instructor (Inclusion Zone, Secondary, Blackpool)

We are currently seeking a Science Teacher / Instructor who has a passion for making science fun, interesting and engaging, for a role within the Inclusion Department of a Mainstream Secondary School in Blackpool.
You will be teaching students who are disengaged with learning, and some will also present with SEMH needs.
Due to this, the ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, but also comfortable with disengaged students, and robust with challenging behaviour.
You do not require QTS for this role, however there is an expectation that you will have a strong teaching background.
Experience with SEMH and challenging behaviour would also be a benefit.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage challenging behaviour positively and in line with the schools' ethos and procedures.
Ensure lessons are planned to meet the needs of children.
Ability to tailor your lessons to the needs of each student.
Engage students with subject matter, and make lessons interesting.
A dedication to the safeguarding of young people.

Role Requirements

Strong background in teaching and classroom management
Up to date Safeguarding & Prevent Training (Prospero can provide if needed)
Enhanced DBS on Update Service (Prospero can assist if needed)
Qualifications relevant to education and teaching

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Full referencing for the past 2 years
