We're hiring for a Mechanical Fitter to join a leading global manufacturer based in Trafford Park.

This is a great opportunity to work in a clean and well-organised manufacturing environment, assembling specialist machinery that supports worldwide production operations.

* £15.00 - £16.00 per hour

* Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

* Overtime available (paid at enhanced rates)

* 6.4 weeks holiday after 12 weeks + 8 bank holidays

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Fitter?

* Assembling large-scale specialist machinery

* Reading and interpreting technical drawings to guide machine assembly

* Carrying out mechanical bench fitting & precision assembly work

* Diagnosing faults, reporting defects, and supporting machine maintenance

* Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards in a production setting

What do you need?

* Proven experience in machine building & mechanical assembly

* Apprenticeship-trained or time-served background in mechanical engineering

* Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings

* Hands-on experience with bench fitting and tooling

* Own tools are required for the role
