Key Responsibilities

As a Maths Teacher, you will:

Teaching and Learning:

Design and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum, tailored to students in Key Stages 2 and 3.
Use innovative teaching strategies to cater to various learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students can achieve their potential.
Regularly assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
Classroom Management:

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting mutual respect and a love for mathematics.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and implement effective classroom management strategies in line with school policies.
Collaboration and Contribution:

Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and refine the maths curriculum and share best practices.
Contribute to the wider school community through participation in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities.
Support the school's ethos by actively promoting its values and initiatives.
Parental Engagement:

Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who embodies passion for mathematics and dedication to teaching. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential:

Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience: Proven experience teaching mathematics at Key Stages 2 and/or 3.
Subject Knowledge: A deep understanding of the maths curriculum, with the ability to break down complex concepts into accessible learning objectives.
Skills: Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
Desirable:

Previous experience in a middle school setting.
A proven track record of raising attainment in mathematics.
