About the role:

Join our vibrant and welcoming special school in Harrow, dedicated to helping children with severe and complex learning differences thrive through engaging, fun, and individualised learning. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, specialising in ASD, you'll work closely with teachers and the school's SEN Coordinator to support pupils both one-on-one and in small groups.

Your role will be pivotal in helping students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills in a way that's tailored to their needs. You'll be joining a team of dedicated professionals committed to creating an engaging and positive learning environment. Whether you're assisting in lessons, helping with sensory activities, or supporting students during breaks, you'll be making a real impact.

• Experience working with children with ASD or within a special educational needs setting.
• Patience, positivity, and a genuine passion for helping children with special needs succeed.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive and dynamic team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with ASD, helping them achieve their educational and personal development goals.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to deliver engaging, individualized learning activities.
• Support pupils during lessons, breaks, and sensory activities, ensuring their well-being and safety.
• Use a range of tools and resources to help students thrive in an inclusive environment.
• Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging their confidence and social skills.
