Leader Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant for a Mainstream Primary School based in North Tyneside. The successful LSA will work with children aged 3 to 11 years old, work in a 1:1 setting and in small groups and ideally have experience working with children in a relevant field. These children may have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 3:30pm and is a long-term position. An ASAP start is available for those who have a DBS on the Update service.
The successful candidate will have:
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.
- Experience of working with young children is desirable
- A motivating and supportive presence towards the children
- An encouraging attitude towards the students by assisting them with their needs within the classroom
- Clear communication skills
- An ability to empower the students when reaching achievements or small goals
- Help to plan classroom activities and prepare materials needed for each lesson
