The Company

This Information Manager role is with one of the UK's leading main contractors. They are a diverse organisation with activities in most sectors of the built environment. This role is within their London division that undertakes a wide range of schemes in the private and public sectors including residential, healthcare, pharmaceutical and commercial buildings. Projects will vary in value from £150m - £180m and this specific role is to work in London overseeing the London and South region.

The Person

We are looking to recruit an Information Manager to lead on document control and information management for the southern region. The scope of which includes drawings, specifications and other design management processes (instructions, RFI's etc.) on Asite, hand over documentation process.

You will be responsible for the archiving of site documentation recording and numbering appropriately to ensure everything is traceable as well as overseeing the Document Controllers.

What you'll do:

* Be the point of contact for training and assistance for all users of the EDMS

* Help the project team or admin set up the structures for each project

* Ensuring customers are communicated with and understand how the system is used

* Managing the archiving process

* Review & Audit the systems processes and systems regularly for continuous improvement

* Ensure training needs are met

* Manage the whole lifecycle of project documentation which would include Archive and destruction of documents - work closely with the Legal, Risk & Compliance Director

Have you got what it takes?

* Previous experience of information management systems and document control- both electronically and in hard copy

* Construction experience desirable

* Digitally advanced

* Experience of “tools” within MS Office

* Ability to manage a document control team

* Previous experience of Asite is essential
