The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to students with varying needs, which includes Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The role requires a SEN Teaching Assistant, who can offer a child-centred, caring approach to understanding the curriculum. Hence experience with the needs mentioned is crucial. Also, a mentoring or tutoring background is desired, to help engage and motivate children.

The School - SEN Teaching Assistant

This SEN School specialises in providing care for pupils aged 4 - 16 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). A larger SEN School with 193 pupils, based in Hackney with several overground and bus links. The school was awarded an Ofsted inspection rating of Outstanding in 2023.
