Job Role
We're looking for an experienced and dedicated Class 1 HGV Driver on behalf of our client based in Chesterfield. You'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of refrigerated goods across the North of the UK during the night, allowing our daytime operations to run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely operate a Class 1 HGV to transport goods across various routes.

* Perform deliveries and collections to clients and depots across the UK.

* Ensure timely and accurate delivery while adhering to all road safety regulations.

* Conduct pre-journey checks on the vehicle and report any defects or issues.

* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in your vehicle.

* Follow company procedures regarding driver logs, tachographs, and other compliance regulations.

* Work with the logistics team to ensure the smooth coordination of routes and schedules.

Skills & Experience:

* Valid Class 1 HGV license (C+E).

* Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card.

* Previous experience as a HGV driver (night shifts preferred but not essential).

* Excellent driving record with a good understanding of road safety and regulations.

* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

* Good communication skills and attention to detail.

* Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and routes.
