Our client are a market leader for manufacturing products for the building industry and are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their finance team on a permanent basis at their Alfreton site.  They are a successful, dynamic and ambitious business who are looking for great team players to grow with them.

The Senior Accountant position will report in to the Finance Director and support their Manufacturing Operations. For this reason, we are specifically targeting applicants with prior manufacturing sector experience who have supported an operational manufacturing site.  The successful candidate will be a senior lead within the team of finance professionals. This position is responsible for all aspects of financial management reporting for the Group Operations, which includes our Planning, Production, Recycling, and Logistics functions.

The Operations Finance team is a cornerstone of the Group Finance Function, acting as a critical business partner to the Group's Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Operations Leadership Team.

What our Senior Accountants do:

Strategic business partner to the Head of Manufacturing
Identify and analyse risks and opportunities to achieve annual business unit targets
Conduct financial appraisals and corresponding cost tracking of strategic initiatives
Lead, manage, and support a team of management accountants within Manufacturing
Develop a strong understanding of all areas of Operations - becoming a “go-to” person for both the operational team and finance members
Support and review throughout all areas of the accounting process for manufacturing
Deliver Month end reporting, Annual budgets, and financial forecasts
Analyse performance for both internal and external stakeholdersWhat we need from our Senior Accountants:

Strong academic qualifications
CIMA / ACCA qualified accountant
Experience working within a manufacturing environment
Experience of managing a team
SAP system experience beneficial, particularly in production and financial modules
Full UK driver's license
Ability to work well with operational staff and translate operational opportunities and issues into financial outputs
Strong team player, able to provide support and guidance to both direct reports and other team members
A proactive and positive approach, with the ability to work on your own initiative
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise effectively, both with your own workload and the team's workloadWhat we offer:
