Full job description:

We are looking for a Nursery Deputy Manager to join our team in Warlingham.

Your role:

* Assisting the Nursery Manager in overseeing the monitoring, assessment, and development of the nursery setting

* Promoting a safe, caring, stimulating environment

* Supporting and promoting equality and diversity throughout all areas of practice

* Promoting and ensuring the provision of outstanding childcare

* Assisting with training and appraising of staff

* Supporting the overall day to day running of the nursery in conjunction under the guidance of the Nursery Manager.

* Supporting staff development and practice to ensure continual quality development of the setting.

* Supporting continued growth and opportunity of the nursery by developing robust and effective parent partnership programmes.

* Ensuring all staff are committed to ensuring the very best outcomes for children.

* Acting as designated key person for an allocated number of children.

* Ensure you observe, plan and assess children's learning and development within the EYFS framework.

* Developing positive partnership with parents.

* Leading, developing and managing your room staff to ensure the best outcomes for children.

* Working as part of a wider management structure within the Nursery.

* Supporting team development.

You will need:

* Full and relevant Level 5 Childcare qualification

* QTS/EYPS/EYTS (Approved Level 6 qualification)

Alternatively:

* A Level 3 childcare qualification AND

* Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience at a childcare setting

* Experience of the responsibilities of management

* Full working knowledge and experience of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements

* Experience of working as a DSL and/or SENDCO would be an advantage

* Friendly, reliable and flexible approach

Pay: £28,000.00 - £34,500.00 per annum

Experience:

* Experience of working within a Senior/Deputy Manager role: 1 year (preferred)
