We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our client for a permanent role in Grantham in the workshop during this exciting time of growth and innovation.

As an HGV Technician you will be required to:

* Installation of brakes pads/disks, clutches, gearboxes, drive shafts etc,

* MOT checks, safety inspections to DVSA standards,

* Assist with routine inspections, DVSA paperwork and general maintenance also.

* Diagnose faults mechanically and electrically and rectify.

* Ensuring Health & Safety Regulations and safe working practice adhered to.

* Ensure job cards and inspection/service sheets are completed.

Qualifications

* NVQ 3 HGV Service and Repair (Equivalent experience)

* HGV License Desirable

Attributes for the Role:

* Demonstrable experience as a Fitter, ideally in an HGV trailer workshop.

* Ability to use hand and power tools, such as hoists or air-powered devices,

* Welding, Fabricating, and/or Painting experience an advantage.

* Experience working on heavy commercial vehicles such as lorries and buses.

* Good attention detail.

* Knowledge of workplace

* Demonstrate an excellent attitude to work.

* Can work in a team or independently.

You will need to be qualified in HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic / Mobile Fitter and have a proven track record in fixing and maintaining HGV's / Commercial Vehicles and solid background in mechanical work.
