Our client is a prominent manufacturer of delicious and nutritious ambient food products, enjoyed by people across the nation every day.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Multi-skilled Engineer/Maintenance Engineer/Shift Engineer with previous FMCG experience to join a larger, secure company on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to plant breakdowns in a timely fashion.
- Carry out regular servicing and PM's to equipment.
- Ensure all works completed safely.
- Work as a team to improve production processes.
- Ensure all engineering activity is recorded.

Requirements:

- Good mix of mechanical and electrical skills
- Mechanical/electrical bias or truly multi-skilled
- Previous food manufacturing/FMCG experience.
- Positive, proactive team player.

Expect to join a long-standing, knowledgeable and supportive team as this company rarely recruits.

Shift: Panama/3's & 2's - slow rotation (2 weeks of days followed by 2 weeks of nights & every other weekend off)
Package: £51.7K + 5% annual bonus
Benefits: Private health and pension matched up to 10% - Option to buy and sell holiday.

Commutable from Bedford, Luton, Cambridge, Stevenage, Biggleswade and Hitchin.
