Reed Accountancy Brighton is working on behalf of our client seeking an experienced Credit Controller for an immediate start in the Brighton area. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with a strong background in credit control and a minimum of 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will be comfortable working on-site and possess a proven track record of managing receivables and maintaining excellent customer relations.
Day-to-day of the role: - Managing and collecting debts from company debtors
- Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers’ credit rankings
- Setting up the terms of credit for new clients
- Negotiating payment plans where necessary
- Maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment
- Resolving queries on accounts and ensuring payments are received on time
- Processing and reconciliation of invoices
- Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems
- Preparing statements and reports for the company’s financial department
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a credit control role
- Strong understanding of the credit control process and principles
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data
