We are currently partnering with an industry leading organisation, who are recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join their team on a 6 month FTC based in North Birmingham.

This is a full-time, hybrid position (two days WFH) with a salary of up to £70,000 and the start date is subject to notice.The successful candidate will ensure all internal and external financial reporting requirements are achieved in line with standards.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Preparing full statutory and subsidiary accounts
• Working through a backlog of dormant accounts
• Preparing the quarterly VAT returns and calculating monthly VAT returns
• Calculating monthly interest accruals, including multiple effective interest rate loans
• Reviewing and monitoring intercompany balances
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, clearing reconciling items and challenging calculation of balances
• Calculating month end accruals and provisions
• Completing the monthly management information pack, including consolidated cashflow reporting and monthly commentary

Experience required:

• Experience in Financial Accounting
• Experience handling financial statements including balance sheets, income statements and cashflow

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

• Qualification is preferable
• Experience in IFRS and FRS 102 reporting is desirable
