We have a number of Teaching Assistant vacancies to support students with physical and neurological impairments.

Our School is a community special school for students aged 3-19 with physical, neurological and learning difficulties.

They wish to recruit enthusiastic people to join our team of Teaching Assistants at this special school to start on 2 September 2024. Experience in a special needs setting or as a Teaching Assistant would be an advantage but this is not essential.

The successful applicants will be responsible for supporting students with physical and/or neurological disabilities. This includes students with mobility challenges or learning difficulties and assistance with personal care.

The school is a special school for students aged from 3-19 years with physical and neurological impairments. The School has an Ofsted rating of Outstanding in all areas across the whole school 

Job Purpose: We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and work in partnership with class teachers to support students' learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice, and school policies and procedures. 

Duties:

Support literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills development.
Attend to personal care needs, following each student's Care Plan.
Promote positive student behavior and keep students on task.
Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities.
Monitor and record student responses and achievements.
Assist in the implementation of educational and care programs.
Select and maintain appropriate resources and specialist equipment.
Liaise with staff and other professionals, providing necessary student information.
Supervise students during breaks and educational visits, facilitating games and activities.
Physically assist students during activities, such as PE.
